Tea Time

A privileged and tranquil setting in the city centre where guests can enjoy an attractive selection of teas and other infusions with a meticulous service which respects the art of preparing this ancient beverage.

“A man without tea in him is incapable of understanding truth and beauty.”
Okakura Kakuzō, Japanese academic.

The Tea and Its Preparation

The list currently offers 9 types of tea from different parts of the world, allowing us to travel by way of this ancient beverage sip by sip. Tea aficionados can choose between blends of Indian black tea, Japanese green tea, Chinese-influenced red tea, a balanced Thai oolong, a floral white. There are also 3 blends of rooibos included.

As important as the tea itself is the preparation. Times and temperatures. Each tea has a different infusion time and these are essential depending on the blend chosen. At Alma a small hourglass is used to measure the correct time.

Our aim is to tantalise guests’ taste buds with a buffet of homemade cakes. These include classics like the mini lemon meringue pies, the delicious cheesecake with bitter orange coulis, a fresh version of carrot cake, a Seville-orange sponge cake or a tarte tatin with a cloud of cream.

  • Open Monday to Friday from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.
