On Sunday, 2 August 2026 at 6:00 p.m., the gardens and elegant spaces of Hotel Alma Barcelona will once again be filled with music as they host Cantar del Alma, a recital featuring Portuguese mezzo-soprano Helena Ressurreição, accompanied on the piano by Llum Colomer.
This will be a unique opportunity to experience classical music in an intimate, elegant and charming setting in the heart of Barcelona.

For many years, the foundation has worked to preserve the artistic and human legacy of Victoria de los Ángeles, one of the most celebrated voices in the history of Spanish opera, while encouraging the development of young performers through scholarships, recitals and specialised programmes such as the prestigious Victoria de los Ángeles Lied Master’s Programme at ESMUC.

Helena Ressurreição, One of Europe’s Most Promising Lyric Voices
The star of this recital will be Portuguese mezzo-soprano Helena Ressurreição, widely regarded as one of the most promising artists on today’s operatic scene.
Critics have described her as a “magnetic” performer, praising both the warmth and richness of her voice. Throughout her career, she has appeared at prestigious venues including Barcelona’s Gran Teatre del Liceu, Madrid’s Teatro de la Zarzuela, Seville’s Teatro de la Maestranza, Paris’ Opéra Comique and the Oxford Lieder Festival.
Her relationship with the Victoria de los Ángeles Foundation is particularly close. She was awarded a scholarship for the Victoria de los Ángeles Lied Master’s Programme at ESMUC and has taken part in numerous initiatives organised by the foundation, establishing herself as one of the outstanding artists to emerge from its educational programme.
Accompanied on Piano by Llum Colomer
The recital will also feature pianist Llum Colomer, whose expressive musicianship will accompany Helena Ressurreição’s performance in a programme designed to create a close connection between the artists and the audience.
