Art work by Laurence Le Constant
Contemporary strangeness is not the strangeness experienced by early twentieth century spectators astonished by the images of the arrival of the train at the station in the Lumière brothers’ film. Our strangeness manifests itself when we fortuitously encounter small, unexpected phenomena in our daily lives. Our train leaving the station is an interior train.
